Jennifer Lopez, a co-host of the Met Gala 2024, has expressed uncertainty about her attire for the event. She shared a few sketches on Instagram three weeks before the event, stating that she is "one of those people who chooses at the last minute." Lopez explained that she enjoys making choices and tries to create an amazing look for the event. She called co-hosting alongside Anna Wintour Zendaya, Bad Bunny, and Chris Hemsworth a "real honor" and a "nice thing to be apart of" for the "biggest night in fashion." The 2024 theme, "Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion," will be followed by the dress code, "the garden of time," referencing the historical nature of the exhibit. Lopez has worn several head-turning looks since attending the event in 1999. She recently wore a black crisscross Ralph Lauren gown at the 2023 Met Gala, honoring Karl Lagerfeld. In 2021, she wore a brown Ralph Lauren gown with a deep neckline and long slit up her leg. Lopez's husband, Ben Affleck, did not walk the red carpet with her, but they were photographed kissing with their face masks on the red carpet. She also showed off her fashionista skills in 2019 at the "Camp: Notes on Fashion" theme with her then-fiancé, Alex Rodriguez.
