Montana Fishburne, Laurence Fishburne's daughter, has been sentenced to 24 months of probation after a 2022 arrest for battery on a law enforcement officer. Florida police records show that Montana reported her ex-boyfriend's stalking and threats to 911, but he was not present when officers arrived. According to records, Montana allegedly yelled at cops from the sidewalk, claiming no one helped her, and approached them despite repeated instructions to back up. She then slapped one of the deputies, causing swelling and redness on the officer's ear.
Montana initially pleaded not guilty, but changed plea to no contest on April 10. Her attorney, Michael Grieco, states there is no admission of guilt or conviction, and the case will be sealed. Ms. Fishburne can move on. Grieco mentioned Montana's probation ends after a 13-week anger management program, following her two previous arrests. In 2017, she faced three misdemeanors for a DUI but was released the next day on a $2,500 bond. In 2020, Montana was arrested again for DUI in Florida. She was released on bond again.
Laurence, 62, is a father of three. He has a daughter named Montana and a son named Langston, both 36, with ex-wife Hajna O. Moss. The actor also coparents daughter Delilah, 16, with Gina Torres. Montana previously told media she didn't want to follow in her famous father's footsteps. "I wasn't into mainstream acting," Montana said exclusively to media in 2010, firmly stating, "No" when asked if she wanted to pursue acting. "I knew I wanted to do adult films," Montana proudly stated. "I had a hidden desire for porn," she admitted. "I kept it a secret due to fear of judgment when I was younger."
"I began contemplating it at 16," she said. "I made this movie without any intention of harming my parents or tarnishing our family name." Montana, 18, moved out of her parents' home and her mother still supports her. "My mom loves me and wants me to be sure of whatever decisions I make," Montana said confidently. Laurence has not spoken about Montana's career goals or her arrests publicly.
