Model Sawa Pontyjska has sued the Cannes Film Festival after an altercation with a female security guard. Pontyjska recently lodged a legal complaint, claiming she was assaulted by the guard. "I was trying to escape from this lock. "I went down and started running on the stairs to escape because it was the way out," said Pontyjska to the BBC. "She tried to push me inside, so nobody could see what she's doing to me." She kicked me out. Pontyjska posted a TikTok video on May 21 of a security guard dragging her from the red carpet into the convention center.

Miss Europe 2023 intends to sue the Cannes Film Festival for rudeness and unreasonable use of physical force on the red carpet. Seeking help from a serious lawyer, she shared a TikTok video expressing her dream of participating in the festival. A TikTok video shared on Thursday revealed documents from Pontyjska's lawsuit against Cannes. She accused the film festival of assault and seeks €100,000 in damages ($108,769).

The guard's red carpet actions drew attention. Rowland, 43, attended Marcello Mio movie premiere on May 21. Videos online show a security guard touching her back. Rowland grew frustrated and said something to the guard. Rowland later revealed that other women at the event, who didn't resemble me, were not reprimanded or forced to leave.

"I stood my ground," she said to the Associated Press, emphasizing her resilience. She said, "The woman and I both know what happened. I have my limits and I will stick to them, end of story."
