Shruti Haasan Calls Out IndiGo Airlines for 4-Hour Delay

Actress and singer Shruti Haasan took to social media to express her frustration over a long flight delay with IndiGo Airlines. The incident occurred on Friday, October 11, when passengers, including Haasan, were stranded at the airport for more than four hours without any information from the airline.


Using her official X (formerly Twitter) account, Shruti shared her dissatisfaction, stating: "Hey, I’m not one to normally complain, but @IndiGo6E you guys really outdid yourself with the chaos today. We’ve been stranded in the airport with no information for the past four hours - maybe figure a better way for your passengers, please? Information, courtesy, and clarity."

In addition to her tweet, Shruti also posted a short video on Instagram, clearly irritated by the situation. In the video, she jokingly shared her frustration, writing in the caption, "I'm about to (knife emoji) someone ... still stuck at the airport."


IndiGo's Response and Weather-Related Issues


In response to Shruti’s complaint, IndiGo issued a statement, citing weather conditions in Mumbai as the cause of the delay. The airline apologized for the inconvenience, writing: "Ms. Haasan, we sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by the flight delay. The delay is due to weather conditions in Mumbai, which is affecting the arrival of the operating aircraft. We understand how frustrating this is and appreciate your patience."


The airline also added that the situation was beyond their control, assuring passengers that their team was doing everything possible to assist and ensure comfort.


Other Recent Complaints Against IndiGo


Shruti Haasan is not the only celebrity to have had a negative experience with the airline recently. Just days before, actress Divya Dutta had a similar issue when IndiGo canceled her flight without prior notice. Divya shared her “horrendous experience” on social media, posting a video of an empty airport in the early hours of Thursday morning and calling out the airline for their unprofessional behavior.
