Alex Cooper, Host of 'Call Her Daddy,' Ties the Knot with Matt Kaplan in Private Ceremony in Mexico

The podcast host, Cooper, married her longtime boyfriend, Matt Kaplan, in Mexico on April 6. They chose a resort in Riviera Maya to create a relaxed and authentic wedding experience for their guests. Cooper wore a semi-sheer Danielle Frankel mini dress embroidered with pearls and a matching skirt for the kickoff party, while Kaplan planned most of the wedding. The couple wanted the weekend to feel "private" and "romantic," so they invited people who they love the most and who have helped them become who they are today.

The couple held a rehearsal dinner where Cooper wore a 2011 Donna Karan Collection tan tulle gown featuring ruffles and silver embellishments. Cooper requested that the guests face her to make the entrance feel more like a "runway" moment. Cooper rejected the concept of being walked down by a man to be handed to another man at the beginning of wedding planning, but she had an incredible relationship with her father and both of her parents.

The officiant for the wedding was Cooper's brother, Grant, who has been instrumental throughout her life and has built a great bond with Matt. Cooper and Kaplan's two fur babies served as ring bearers who presented the rings to the happy couple before they read off their own wedding vows.
